James 5:16 says that "The prayer of a righteous person has great power." So, are you praying?
The final verses of the book of James are about prayer. Who should pray? Verse 13 - the suffering; verse 14 - the sick; verse 16 - those who confess their sins. You may feel that your prayer has no power, but James says that the prayers of the righteous have great power. He gives the example of Elijah who "was a man with a nature like ours."
Your righteousness does not come from yourself, but from Jesus! That's great news, isn't it? Elijah was able to see a miracle happen through fervent prayer and we are called to also pray fervently.
So, are you praying?
